South Carolina GOP Voters Overwhelmingly Support Clean Energy Projects


The latest findings from a statewide poll of 500 GOP voters reveal that Republican and conservative Independent voters in SC strongly support clean energy projects, recognizing their benefits and favoring continued investment.

Sustain SC recently released a second study examining conservative support for clean energy in South Carolina, following an earlier survey on conservative backing for land conservation.

CLEAN ENERGY PROJECTS VIEWED AS HAVING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON SC

Since 2022, 39 new projects have been announced in South Carolina with over 15 billion dollars in investments and more than 21,000 high paying jobs in energy, advanced manufacturing, and advanced battery technology being supported in the state.

CLEAN ENERGY PROJECTS RECEIVE CONTINUED SUPPORT

When given a list of four clean energy projects that have been initiated in South Carolina in recent years, voters backed continued support. 

A majority of every single demographic group believes the federal government should continue backing these initiatives.
